Southlake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center Residents and Team Members Safe after Severe Weather
Following the severe weather on Monday, May 9, 2016 the residents and team members of Southlake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center are safe and sound.
When the sirens alarmed the team members sprang into action immediately, following our severe weather plan ensuring residents were moved to designated safe areas. Residents spent nearly two hours in the safe areas. There were no resident or team member injuries. When the warning was lifted, residents were served dinner and team members assessed the damage.
The community has suffered broken windows and roof damage. Due to broken windows and water damage ten residents were relocated to other rooms within the building. Southlake Village and Vetter Senior Living are working with construction crews to make repairs as quickly as possible.
We are so proud of our team and residents for staying calm and keeping safe.
