Southlake Village Honored with a Lincoln Journal Star Lincoln’s Choice Award
Southlake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center, a 126 bed skilled rehabilitation center located in Southeast Lincoln, has been honored with a prestigious Lincoln Journal Star Lincoln’s Choice Award in the category of Best Senior Living Facility.
The Lincoln’s Choice awards are nominated and voted for by the public. Southlake Village placed 3rd and received an honorable mention in the category of Best Senior Living Facility, and was the only Skilled Rehabilitation Center to receive the award.

Southlake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center opened in 2011 with the mission to provide the citizens of Lincoln and the surrounding communities with a state-of-the-art facility where they could rehabilitate or live and receive world class care and service. Southlake Village achieves this through its multidisciplinary approach using nursing, life enrichment, dining, social services and spiritual care to care for the whole person: body, mind and spirit.
Southlake Village is licensed as a skilled nursing facility serving individuals in need of short-term rehabilitation for reasons such as joint replacements, cardiac surgeries, stroke and a variety of other medical needs. As a skilled nursing facility, Southlake Village also serves those needing long-term care and memory support care. Southlake Village is proud to serve its residents and patients with Registered Nurses 24 hours a day, as well as, the support of Rebekah Irwin, a Nurse Practitioner on the nursing leadership team.
Southlake Village is located at 9401 Andermatt Drive in Lincoln, NE and is one of the 31 facilities owned or managed by the Vetter Senior Living (VSL) group of Elkhorn, Nebraska. The care center’s administrator and staff develop plans to continuously improve their services and facility with support from the VSL network. Operating decisions are made locally to ensure that Southlake Village remains responsive to the needs of its residents and community.
